Ask Me Anything Session with Tiffany Hordyk

Speaker: Tiffany Hordyk, BScN, RN, MSN, CEN, RN First Call

Tiffany is an ER trained and RN first call certified RN from BC with a MSN in nursing education. She has been travel nursing full time for the past four years working in Emergency departments in urban, rural and remote hospitals in BC and Nova Scotia, and remote practice settings in remote indigenous communities in BC. Tiffany is all about working hard and playing tourist while on contract and loves to collect fun experiences and a robust list of foodie must-tries. Tiffany’s number one advice for new and aspiring travel nurses is that nursing is the same, just the protocols and where things are found is what’s different from place to place, so just do it.

Stories, Stress Management, Self-Care and Social Determinants of Health

The pandemic, the climate crisis, the economy, war, injustice, unrest, uncertainty – it’s a lot to cope with and we can all use support sometimes. More and more, we’re hearing and talking about wellness, mindfulness, therapy, stress management and self-care. While taking luxurious baths can feel great, self-care goes far beyond that. Self-care is quite literally taking care of yourself. Your whole self. Join CMHA for stories and strategies around what we all need to be our best selves.

About CMHA:

Founded in 1918, Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is the most established, most extensive community mental health organization in Canada. CMHA provides advocacy, programs and resources that help to prevent mental health problems and illnesses, support recovery and resilience, and enable all Canadians to flourish and thrive. We identify and respond to Canada’s most pressing mental health priorities. At the national level, we push for nationwide system and social change. At the community level, more than a million people in Canada rely on CMHA’s extensive grassroots presence for mental health programs and services.
